The lyrics

[Verse 1]
Tabitha, my first born, you made me a mom
I prayed for God to send me a best friend—He sent me you
I remember quiet mornings, your laughter filling the room
I close my eyes for just a moment and you grow up, it’s true
You’ve always been the delight of my heart
I cherished every day, just watching you start
To become who you are, with passion and care shining through
Tabitha, my first born, I thank God for you

[Chorus]
You made me a mom, and I watched you become one too
Tabitha, that’s the gift I hold onto
You made me a mom, and I watched you become one too
Tabitha, my child, I cherish you

[Verse 2]
I still see your little hands, wild and kind
Be brave, be bold, leave heavy doubt behind
Tabitha, you’re the reason so much makes sense
I watched you chase dreams, never sitting on the fence
Your compassion and care, I see every day
The person you are, I wouldn’t change in any way
And when the world feels dark and cold, remember what is true
You carry a great love, Tabitha, it lives in you

[Chorus]
You made me a mom, and I watched you become one too
Tabitha, that’s the gift I hold onto
You made me a mom, and I watched you become one too
Tabitha, my child, I cherish you

[Bridge]
I was there in the room to watch the day you became a mom
My daughter, delight of my heart, you carry it on
Be wild, be kind, be everything you are
Tabitha, my first born, you’ve already come so far
I cherish you dearly, for the person you are
You have passion and care, nothing dims your spark
And when life feels heavy, or you don’t know what to do
Remember, Tabitha, my love is always with you

[Final Chorus]
You made me a mom, and I watched you become one too
Tabitha, that’s the gift I hold onto
You made me a mom, and I watched you become one too
Tabitha, my child, I cherish you
